Ok so im gonna try keep this short and to the point so u can get an understanding of my frustration and near epic temper!

I brought the scirocco in nov picked it late may....

Three days after the pick up i spoke to my sales man he asked "everything ok with the car"

i said "yea all good amzing love it apart from theres a rattle coming from the dash somewhere"

his response "ok bring it in and we sort it"

after a few days i narrowed it down the plastic thast surreounds the steering wheel underneith where the streering wheel adjustment is , just slightly lose and when u get on the motor way on a steady cruise it rattles so anoying after a while.

so three weeks ago i noticed a knocking coming from the rear so finally booked it in to be investigated as well as the dash rattle and re align the headlights as they was pointing down near enough.

so drop it in and tech comes out to hear this knocking first thing he says is its brakes prob wont be able to fix it ??? i was like i can see where this is going i said oh are all sciroccos meant to knock when the break ? he said ill have to drive one to find out out...............(right i though in my head)

so few hours go passed and i get a call

"hi mr cain did the knocking start after you fitted the led number plate lights....."

shit! was my first though, id forgotton about them. (id fitted them a week or two before hand)

so i said "yea actually i did" (being honest)

basically these led lights i brought have bolster canbus box on each one and there knocking when i brake

i felt terrible and apolagised as i feel id wasted there time , they had taken the bumper off to find this out but never the less they seemed ok and said we cant charge you for it as we are doing your lights or something along them lines.

i felt really bad obviously because id been silly to forget about the led and theyd spent a few hours researching what it was....anyway

i went in picked up the car at 5 ish lady come out hands me back me keys i apolagise about the leds and she handed me my form and kind of that was that.......

looked on the form noticed there was nothing about the dash rattle so i asked them "and the dash rattle" as she hadnt mentioned it

she said exact words " oh yea that part has been damaged and its not under warranty, did they not quote you for that?"

"i said "no it was like that when i picked up the car" which it was i swear on my mothers eyes and the great lord above..

so i explained the story to vicky about how it was like that on collection and id spoken to paul my sales man and he said bring it in so she said well ill have to speak to sales who have now spoken to the technician and hes stated

IVE DAMAGED THE SCREW UNDERNIETH THE STEERING WHEEL THAT HOLD THE PLASTIC IN WHEN I CHANGED THE NUMBER PLATE LIGHTS???

I NEARLY LOST IT ...

im thinking that they are unhappy that they wasted time and can see ive fitted other parts to my car and are using it as an excuse to par me off from fixing what should be fixed?!?!

i know how to change number plate lights we all do !!? i dont go in the cab and start unscrewing the steering colum plastix ffs!!

what is the logic behind that statement its surely a load of crap!!??

long story short vivky has spoken to sales who has spoken to ivan the technician and he said the parts not covered under warranty and we wont be paying for it sir.................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................

i then tried to explain, hes having none of it he got a bit arrogant i got a bit arrogant and i said look ive brought a brand new rocco and a brand new polo of u(which i have, got the polo for my girl)
if id of broke the part i would of rang up and said i need tthis part how much simple!!

when i picked the carfrom sales they didnt even quote me for it they just told me its not covered were not paying she then stared at me blankly waiting for a response from me .......already she seemed offish with me which quite frankly got my back up :grumpy:

so basically am i right do u think theres a link between the wasted time on led lights and them not wanting to pay or am i being paranoid!!

yea i cant prove the car wasnt like that when i picked it up but neither can they prove that i damaged it!

ive now taken it to customer services at VW themselves and they still have resolved it its been 3 WEEKS LOL patrick at vw cs is waiting to speak to ivan the tech to see how hes gonna explain ive damaged the screw when replacing the number platelights lol its comical hows he going to explain that there accusing me of incompotence and blaming me

Im very irate about this as it was like it when i picked it up and im refusing to pay for something i shouldnt have to

its £78 with fitting and they quibbling over that !!

on friday im going to audi and seeing about getting a TT ive seriously had it with VW Camberley!!

If yove read this thank you and some advice or opinion would be great as ive been on my own and i wanna know how to handle it better :grumpy:

definitely go to another dealer....my experience of my local dealer (both their VW and Audi centres) is quite different to that.

Sad story mate, sounds like Ivan the tech man is cr***. Things shold work out when VW has talked with him.
And, as the others say, change dealer!
