A near miss

I have to go and have treatment on a spinal injury every two weeks or so, which has been going on for the last decade. The journey for the treatment takes us over the Brecon Beacons so after all this time we know the road well, every bad bump, every dangerous section. Returning home after my last session my wife was at the wheel, as we came down a hill there is a left hand bend with a farm entrance which has been extended to incorporate a bus stop with two bollards at the far end.
Starting to round the bend we saw a campervan with the driver on his mobile phone well onto our side of the road. To avoid a head on the wife managed to get into the farm entrance/bus stop, braking heavily at the same time. Now the problem was the bollards, I felt sure we were going to hit them. But no a quick correction of the steering and we were round them. The change of direction and control of the Roc was brilliant, the car did everything asked of it. I know the ABS was activated not so sure about ESP or TC as there was quite a lot of loose gravel in the bus stop. I was so happy she was driving the Roc that afternoon and not my old Volvo.
