Quick question.
What do you guys use to clean the plastics in the car? I'm pretty much talking about the foot pedals as they're dirty as hell. I have some aluminium metal ones to be put on, but they're not on yet. So would like to know. Also, for the inside doors which have a little dirt on them.
Don't really want to go detailing style, as I will get someone to come and do that soon (weather let me down when he was booked in), but I'm trying to divert my money elsewhere and I just can't justify an extra £60 (as quoted by the detailer coming to do it) right now for the interior where really only the pedals are really dirty. I want it done inside fully, just not now.
Thanks all.

I use Armor All dashboard wipes to do interior plastics or AG Show & Shine spray with cloth

As you are talking about pedals dont use anything on them, just use a damp cloth and maybe a brush to get them clean, obviously putting something like Armorall on them is dangerous !!

Nip out and cover your pedals in Armorall then use the pedals (especially with a nice set of tread less shoes on) and see what happens

I agree with Shaun, it's gonna make your driving worse than normal
And do you clean the plastics in your car anyway, normally 2" of dust present everytime I've seen it.

Main dirty parts are the gas pedal and the footrest, so will have to go damp cloth over them I guess. Just wanted to bring back a bit of life back to them and thought there might be more than water to use!
Chungster, do you go for Glossy or Matte?

^^ For the rest of the car you dont want glossy and you definitely dont want something that stinks of orange or vanilla LOL!!, when i have been in a new car and someone has used a product with orange smell in it i instantly think of a 10 year old car.

lol. Good to hear.
Was going to go with matte if you didn't respond as I'm on my way out now. I don't now owt about cleaning, but got told if your seats are shiny (leather ones) they are dirty as they should have a matte look to them, so wanted that with the dash. Was looking at pics from new and it's not so shiny around, so another tick box for matte.
Would like a nice smell in the car as new car smell went around March, but not vanilla or cetainly not orange (still can't believe they do Shake n Vac in that smell, nevermind for a car!)
Cheers all.

for pedals, i would use just a brush and a damp microfibre.
elsewhere, brush, then dry microfibre and then perhaps those specialist liquid that protects the surfaces. Also you want a matt finish, otherwise you will see only the shiny dash on a sunny day.

They're doing a 3 for 2, so had to get some exterior stuff, will just whack it on the tyres I guess. Orange or Citrus, went with the latter. Actually not so powerful at all. Will do the car tomorrow after I've vaxed the house (and in turn, the car!)
