Just waxed the Rocco for the First Time following a nice Shampoo Bath
Being just Three Months Old i didnt want to use anything too harsh :shake:

When i last clayed my Old Golf the pack came with a Free Sample Bottle of Meguirs Cleaner Wax just big enough to wax a car Once ;)

Anyhow i though id try it and it goes on easily and buffs off easily,Smells lovely and the car feels silky smooth now
Only thing is i cannot help but think the car looks like the wax has dulled it :(

Before anybody says ive buffed it all off theres no steaks or smears and it is nice and shiny it just to my eyes looks duller than cars look generally after ive waxed them

Id also swear it has made the Lush Viper Green look a shade lighter :fall:

Maybe im just too close to it having spent all afternoon Washing,Drying,Claying and Waxing?

Does anybody else use Meguirs Cleaner Wax?

What do you think of it?

Is there a better Alternative Gentle Liquid Wax than Megs CW?

I plan once the paint is older (maybe once its six months old) using Collinite 476 or am i being too cautious?

Can i use the Collinite now? Or is there a better Regime to keep my paint Clean and Protected that Bring out the most in the Gorgeous "Viper Green" ????

Any Thoughts,Help and Advice will be Gratefully Received  :D

Huggz
Jodie :)

Iirc someone told me cleaner wax is best for older paint, cleaner wax as in it cleans the paint by taking the dull top layer off.
Just use collinite straight off

Collinite is just a wax and needs some prep first, like an all in one cleaner, The megs CW is a quick one step product, it all depends how far you want to go i guess.

Zaino all in one with some Zaino Z8 on top worked well on my old bright coloured car :D

Thanks Guys ;)
I think ill wax with Collinite next time i was just wary using a harder wax first time

I dont want my detailing regime to be too OTT im happy to wash using the Two Bucket Method with a Wash Mitt and then Dry followed by Claying from Time to Time :)

I always did this with The Golf and it kept it looking good :D
Every so often id polish the car to keep the colour looking good,i always used Autoglym Super Resin for that and waxed with Old Fashioned Simonize Hard Wax which was good but Hard Work

Collinite has come highly Recomended so ill switch to that this time :D

I only used the Megs CW because it was a freebee and i wanted some protection until i get a tin of collinite ;)

Thanks for the Info :)
