Car was supposed to arrive at dealers today at the latest , I rang them at lunch time and it hadn't arrived , dealer said it would definately arrrive and would ring me when it gets there , .......silence.........

Will ring them tomorrow to find out the bad news , they had promised to get the car to me on monday , doesn't look like that will happen now , which means next earliest date is a week friday as I work away doh!


Thing is how are cars selected for Transport from Port to Dealer , does the dealer request it or does the Port decide!, I rang VW last week for an update as Dealer wasn't answering phone and they said it had been ordered for transportation from port on Monday 7th march and delivery to dealer in 5-7 working days, who 'ordered' it , don't think it was dealer as they are very vague

What sort of dealer are they, part of a larger chain like Inchape or small time single/a couple? If the former, the cars tend to be sent by the parent company, latter, the request goes to VW(UK) and then its organised onto the available transporters for an area.

False alarm , car arrived at dealers yesterday , they just didn't bother to tell me

So all set for Monday?
