My new 1.4 TSI

Hey Everybody,
I got my new 1.4 scirocco 1 week ago and I love it!!! Car drives like a dream
I have to admit at first when i got into it I though how am i going to drive this car... rear visibility is horrrible!
But it takes a little (VERY LITTLE) getting used to and now I can't imagine driving another car
Plus, I am still to see another one here in Italy
They really did a good job with it
all the little details are amazing!
I just have one question. The fuel consumption seems a little high... in the city I only get around 23-25 mpg (UK) and on the highway like 30-35 mpg.
I have been really carefull not to go over 3k rpm during the first 1000 miles (yeap I can't get out of it). I read that a new engine is likely to consume more while it's
breaking in but these figures seem really far of from what volkswagen has in the specs... Just curious if it's normal or should I have my dealer check it out?
thanks for you advice
