Anyone else had this recall yet? Or the update applied?
I went to have it done at the dealer today and after three weeks of waiting the disc that VW sent was the wrong one - This only affects people with the Nav disc version 6.0.

Something to do with the Nav crashing and sending you off in the wrong direction. Not entirely sure to be honest.

It was upgraded to 6.1, took around 10 mins - also found out I have a suspension fault so booked in for that to be dealt with also.

They only got 12 mins by VW to do the work, and told me if it says anything to let it carry on. I took another 5 mins to leave and it was done...Not sure what they advantages of 6.1 over 6.0 are.

I just bought a car last week on the 20th August (Scirocco R). I was told four days into ownership that a recall affecting my car is around and I need to come in. On going in they said I have no SatNav disk and want £230 to apply the recall!! Im pretty disgusted to be honest.. have they waited to spring this charge on me or not etc... is it nessecairy?
??
thanks

If it's a recall by the manufacturer it is free, call up VW customer care and enquire with them. Did you order sat nav with the car?

Without deviating from this topic too much I would just suggest that you take some advice from Consumer Direct
http://www.consumerdirect.gov.uk/before ... ars/dealer" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; - Call an adviser for help or advice: 08454 04 05 06 - It depends on a number of factors, but you will probably have recall with the seller.
