Why is the seat squab different?

Something I've been meaning to ask for a while - anyone know why the rear seat squab is upholstered differently to the fronts on the cloth upholstery spec Scirocco? - I assume it's meant to be like this - my rear seat squab is leather around the outsides - then a sort of suede material around the edges of the 'buckets' and a then netting style material on the actual seat squab - wheres the front seats and rear backrests are cloth round the outside, the netting stuff around the edges of the buckets and cloth on the squabs/backrests.

sounds like you've got the rears from a continental spec car (similar to an R seats [below] but without the embroidery)

(sorry steve you happened to post at the opportune moment)
in short it shouldn't be like that it should be like mine

very strange, probably annoying not having a matching set but I love the alcantara

Thanks for the photo Trix - it would appear that my seat squab is in fact wrong then - I will take it up with the supplying dealer - shame it wouldn't be easier to change the rest of the trim to match the squab - it is a nicer look than the rest of the car. Don't think it's Alcantara though, at least not as I know it, the surface is a lot finer - but you're right it's a nice material.

feel free to print my pic off (right click & open in new tab to view it in a larger size) & take it to illustrate the point as they may not have any in the dealership to compare to
