VW 19th in Reliability Table

Just got next edition of What Car through the door with their reliability survey. VW come in 19th out of 32 manufacturers 
Beaten by the likes of Skoda, Kia, CITROEN!!!, Daewoo, Ford and Chrysler. I think if I'd known that 4 months ago Imight have been tempted with a Matiz 
Looking a bit deeper into the results it does include older generation cars such as the Escort and is based on a selection of cars needing repair over the last 12 months so will haveincluded all cars going for repair. Still doesn't inspire confidence when reading that the Sharan suffered 41 faults per 100 cars, Touareg 32/100 and Golf 24 faults per 100 cars compared with Hondas worst performing car having just 14 faults per 100 cars with the S2000 top of the pile with 2/100.
Just hope the Scirocco improves I suppose
