Hello all
First post on here, I actually found out about the fourm while reading a magazine the VW dealers earlier this afternoon.
After a couple of hours of test drive/talks/negotiation I placed a deposit on the following car
I was pleasantly surprised to find that most optional extra boxes had been ticked when the car was ordered. Nav, Dynadio, Bluetooth, Parking sensors, electric seat adjustment had all been missed off the dealers advert.
Looking forward to collecting it now!!

Hi Ian,
A lucky find! Does have a good spec.
What mileage?
Chris

Mileage is a tad over 13k which I know is higher than normal but then I only do around 6k a year if that. As it's not even a year into the dealer warranty if I do find anything wrong it will be straight back for repair.
Given the spec and the fact I looked at a 140bhp the day before with only bluetooth and parking sensors with 19k on the clock costing a grand more I'm happy with the deal I got.
Couldn't resist plugging all the info into the car configurator on the VW website and it came out with a cost in excess of £30k

Great looking car. You will not be dissapointed with that engine either. pulls like a train through the gears. Nice alloys too!

Enjoy, I absolutely love mine to bits. Best company car ever. I'll be sure to wave if I see you around Bristol.

Great motor! You won't regret buying it! If you enjoy 'driving' you're in for a real treat. Best drivers car I've had in ages and good value for money too (IMO!)

I look forward to that Deb, lucky you having the option of a Scirocco as a company. For me it's a weekend toy, my cars usually spend most of the week tucked away in the garage.

What sort of MPG are you getting from the 170 with the DSG box there Stevieboy if you don't mid me asking?
I'll put money it's a dam site better than the re-mapped Audi TT I'm putting in Px.
Hopefully get a call to say the car is ready to collect on Saturday morning, I'm keeping my fingers crossed
Once I've had a couple of days to give it a good detailing I'll pop some more pics up.

Ian_Mac,
Don't mind you asking at all mate, glad to share my experiences.
I've done 12,000 miles since December 1st 2009 and over that period the average is at 46.2 mpg
I do a fair amount of motorway miles, about 80 per day, and cruise around the 85mph mark most of the time. Other than that I usually cane it where ever I can!
Highest on a run has been 55 mpg but got bored of that real quick. Lowest ever was 32 mpg, down the M6 Toll in the early hours....

Really noticed the overtaking ability last night. Left the girlfriends in Shepton around 10.30pm to travel back to mine. The odd straggler from Glastonbury was still heading away from site (mostly transit vans towning caravans that you wouldn't grow plants in never mind sleep in).
Anyway, overtaking these was an absolute breeze, 3rd gear - foot down - job done.
The difference between driving in normal D mode on the DSG where it's changing up well before 2k and taking control of the paddles and giving it some revs is Chalk and Cheese.
