VIN decoding

My apologies if this is in the wrong spot or has already been answered (yes I tried searching!)

I am working on making the Scirocco eligible as a privately imported used car into Australia, and I need an example of a VIN to list on the application. Can any owners please post their VIN for me? Feel free to change a digit or two if you want to protect the identity of your car for some reason.

Also, has anyone decoded the VINs to get the relevant model codes, build codes, options etc etc?

All explained here...............

Also, changing the chassis isn't clean as someone may post different chassis number which is someones else's Scirocco.

August 2008 - April 2009
MY2009 chassis numbers are wvwzzz13z9V ****** where ****** is a number from 000001 to about 030000 approx

May 2009 - to date
MY2010 chassis numbers are wvwzzz13zAV ****** where ****** is a number from 400001 to 432000 approx at present

You will also find the current brochure at VW UK's website which will shortly to be updated from the 1st July 2009 shown to 1st February 2010. The Pricelist with options is also available dated 1st January 2010. Bear in mind that the Scirocco options on models and owner selectable additional options has grown somewhat since the launch in August 2008.
