It may sound a bit weird but would one of the Scirocco R owners go out to there cars, open up the bonnet and take a picture of the engine bay for me...
VW is badging the engine that goes into the golf and scirocco R as a TSI engine.
Currently this has predominantly referred to an EA888 engine as the old EA113 engines where called FSI and TFSI.
I'm still 100% certain that this is the same belt driven engine that is present in the current S3 but i'd just like to see a picture anyways
please :D
cheers

Pat, as far as I know you are correct and this is the same unit found in the Audi S3 and TTS.

One more question can we replace the scirocco 2.0tsi engine cover with this one? I think it would be a cool mod to do, cause it looks scary as hell ......

no you can't as we've tried, if you are going to be running a proper intake and associated pipework (carbonio will) you will need to ditch this or modify it, its nothing new as engine has been around 4 years now ;)

It is tweaked though, won't need the fuel pump upgrades of the previous version. Few other minor tweaks aswell i'm led to believe.

Glup, you sure ?
So were talking 350+ bhp from a turbo back exhaust high flow cats(decats cheaper :P) exhaust and intake ? awesome news if it is saved me £733.20 on a fuel pump + fitting :P

Yeah prety sure, it was a known weak point on the previous engine, so they fixed it as far as i am aware.

hehe because i've not really looked into fuel pumps yet:P was leaving that for a while but good to know they are cheaper. Coming from a MKV R32 im amazed by how little it costs to get extra horses out of my new car and having a higher spec fuel pump to the mix just makes it better.

Andy do you have any more info on the fuel pump ? will its capacity be as good as a Autoch or APR pump ?
