First post on hear, but hoping to get my candy white baby in April(ish very vague salesman). Been looking around for the best finance and settled with a pcp from Broker4cars. Bought my mums cooper s through them last month and by far the best APR (6.4%). Used them for a few cars but
thought I'd shop around. No one could touch them....... Ask for Dan (say Jody recommended you)

There is a setup fee of around £470...... Still miles better than everyone else (vw finance was pants)

If anyone has found any other good deals let me know......

Got 8.2% APR on HP recently which i thought was ok. Had a look at broker 4 cars and with the set up fee i wouldn't have been saving much over the top of what i was already quoted.

But ii does seem to be the best deal out there

Nationwide Building Society 7.6% APR and no set up fee and no final purchase fee.

I was listening to the radio the other day and Martin Lewis (money saving expert) was saying that some dealers allow you to pay on a credit card (mine had a limit of £1k before i would incur a 1% charge, and some bloke called the radio station up to say he had £4.5k on his interest free card for part payment for a car. Might be worth looking into.

Another thing he mentioned, although I couldnt get my head around it, was something to do with the credit card effectively giving a cash release for so much money, then you pay them back at a nomimal interest rate.

I had 8k cash deposit which I stuck into my credit card and paid by that - didn't save any money doing it this way however I did get 8000 bonus points on the credit card :-)

Paying any amount by CC however small will also give you the security that if the garage went bankrupt before your Car is Delivered you will be fully covered to get your deposit and any outstanding amount back (upto £30K)

0% credit cards are worth a shout if you can get a reasonable credit limit, I got 4k on 0% for a year from tesco and used that to reduce my finance. The garage I got mine from didn't charge a fee for card either.. That far outweighs any other finance deal if you can pay back that in time..

Dont foget you can negiote on your finance with the dealers. I have always done this. They want to finance your car for you!
