Whats the difference between the Hard and Soft Dodo Juice waxes?

Apart form the obvious!

Hard wax is a more suited to using a polishing machine (rotary or orbital) and is harder to get off. Softer is better easier to use if you are polishing by hand but doesn't give as good protection with a single coat.

You don't apply a wax by machine.

Dodo Juice waxes come in both soft and hard varieties, allowing you to choose the type of wax that suits you. Soft waxes can be applied by hand in a thicker layer, but hard waxes go on more thinly and evenly by applicator. Ultimately, the recipes are similar; it's the way they're made that's different.

The way we explain it to people who ask the difference is this...

A hard wax will be slightly harder to apply and remove, it will give longer lasting results than a soft wax, but it won't be as glossy. A soft wax will be easier to apply and remove, it will give a glossier finish than a hard wax, but it won't be as long lasting.

Having said that though, if we're being honest, as this level, you don't really notice a massive amount of differene between the two. Both the hard and soft waxes from Dodo are very good performing waxes at an affordable price. When you get into the higher level waxes from a manufacturer such as Swissvax and you're paying £1,500 for a pot of wax, then you tend to notice a bit more difference between the hard and soft waxes.

Nope, no typo... £1,500 isn't even the most expensive - Royale is about £7,000 a pot!

With regards to Rising Blue, you could look at any of them really - Blue Velvet and Purple Haze are the colour charged waxes but Hard Candy and Rainforest Rub would also be great options
