The mirror doesn't lie

or does it?
I live in some flats, and my space right out the front requires me to parallel park, which has never been a problem for me before. Now, in the Rocco of Doom I keep kerbing my 19's. Each time I back up, I look in my mirrors and see a small gap between wheel and kerb, then get out and see the tyre squashed up against the kerb. Does anyone else get this, or am I just slowly going insane?

Not happened here, maybe its your parking

I guess you don't have the drop down when reversing left mirror?

I am pretty sure that if you see a gap there WILL be a gap (something about light travelling in a straight line). BUT -If you THINK you see a gap then your eyes need testing!?!?!
As a better response to your Q - when I test drove the Roc I thought the mirrors were brilliant! much better than the mitsy i'm in atm and a better view than my mums Mk5 Golf mirrors provide.

Um, maybe that came out a little harsh. it's been a long day of hassling various VW departments and I am infinately jealous of the fact you CAN scratch your wheels!

I think the problem is I parallel park the opposite side that I should i.e the side with the Mirror Down function, purely because it's a right pain in the arse to do a 3/4/5/6 point turn where I live!

You need to change your status on the right to 'I drive a...' in your user CP.
