Hello All,

She has finally arrived. Oh boy am I a happy :bounce:

When it was delivered I felt like a small child at Christmas - no word of a lie. This made it super hard to check the body, paint and alloys. All seems well although the car was soaking wet and very dirty (driven via open transporter from Scotland).

Will try my best to post a few pics late this evening. However she's not looking her best.

Biggest grin possible, Gary

Great Gaz,

I know how you feel mate.

Glad it gone OK after this morning's nervous emails. NOW GO AND DRIVE IT!

Look forward to the photos. Just make sure that wide grin doesn't get in the way! We would like to see the Scirocco occasionally in some of them.

My car was delivered on an open transporter from a VW garage in Leicester, I live in London.
The delivery guy was very carefull when taking it off the loader as I can see how some of the cars can get scratched when offloading.

I had plenty time to check the vehicle whilst he was getting the transported lifted back up.

Here is a quick pic I took today. Not in showroom condition but not too shabby. I think the alloys look like turbo fan blades. Ace!

More pics at the weekend as it needs a wash and it's the next time I'll see it in day light.

Gary
P.S. The DSG gearbox is something else. It's an amazing piece of engineering. So glad I got it. The 1.4 engine is very, very smooth and incredibly quiet compared to my old 2.0 GT TDI. There are no rattles or squeaks from the interior whatsoever. Going over pot holes is well damped and with composure. That's all to report for tonight. Off to bed now... I'm exhausted.

Looks great,

Mine's been sat on the docks in portugal since 30th Oct, so i'm massively jealous.

Anyone notice how hard it seems to be to capture the true 'rising blue' colour when taking photo's? These pics are good, but the colour just looks so much better in the flesh. I know you can play with the colours with some software, its just one of those weird ones.
