i have seen reports that UK cars come with standard pedals, rather than the aluminium ones that sport the GTI and Eos, curious if your guys who have seen than can confirm, i am sure i have seen picks with aluminium look, if they don't might ask dealer nicely to swap them for me

I need to go back in tomorrow or tuesday so i'll check if it's the same deal on the manual too.i don't remember seeing alloy pedals though so i assume it just has the plastic/rubber ones.

Just been back to my dealer - they have a manual, with rubber pedals. For customers a bit annoyed at this the dealer said they would have to ask their parts dept if they could fit (prior to delivery) aluminium pedals from the Golf range ...... parts dept not in till tomorrow so no prices as yet.

Seems like an odd penny pinching change.

the nifty retracting coat hook in the rear is on the passenger side given its engineered for LHD
also retro bonnet stay rather than some nice gas struts, very old school
the silver one robin drove appeared to be on pirelli p-zeros, couple i have seen are on dunlop sports, i was half expecting continetals

I noticed that in the German brochure, the alu pedals are available as part of the 'Sportpacket'.
They are also available for supply fit as a post-purchase accessory / Zubehoer - see:
https://www.volkswagen-zubehoer-shop.de ... 0891123442
I definitely want them on mine.
While you are there, check out the gear knob (not sure about that) and the door strips (nor them)

given my dealer wants our gti pirelli in his september figures we have discussed the pedal issue given the sports eos also has em, not sure about gear knob but like the scuff plates look good to, pitty both arn't standard to lift the quality feel, i am sure we wouldn't have balked at an extra £150 on the list

Gonna ask about these as well on Friday... wouldn't mind paying a little over the normal price in order to get these fitted, something that will make some just a little bit special I feel.
Bit cheated as all the LHD drive ones seem to have them, still can only ask. I will report back what the reaction is and any prices for everyone else

My dealer has just offered me some Stainless Steel pedal covers for £86 inc VAT. I have asked him for some more info and pictures which I will pass on here.

Yep I'm doing the same . They look exactly the same as the ones in my Gti so shouldn't be a problem. Dealer said they should be able to do a deal . I'm also going to get them to switch off the DRL's

I'm hoping to do the same - waiting for the dealer to confirm.
I also requested no seatbelt bong and no stickers

Didn't know you could turn off the bong, I still need to ask the dealer not to put any filthy dealer stickers on it, mine will be debadged last thing I want is some ugly stickers on it. I did ask for the anti-hijack option so it locks automatically as soon as you reach 10mph - don't want to be waiting at lights and get car-jacked.
Did you know there will be a lot of configuration options you can do yourself? Come to think of it there was one for auto lock, hmm I didn't look into it, it may have been the one for the doors (anti-hijack) - all you do is press the media button (on steering) a few times and up it comes in the LCD display between the dials, you can control lights etc I wonder if the bong option was in there.
The dealer got a bit worried and asked me to exit out of the options lol
I forgot to take pics of it while I was there taking pics of the MDI the other day.

Asked my dealer today about changing the pedals, they will be asking the part department about the feasibility and will get back to me. Am sure it can't be that much of an issue as the LHD ones all seem to have them!
Will update when i get a price and more info..

Classic VW
Cheap retrofit using the parts bin.
Fit them yourself for a fraction of the dealer cost.

I have ordered them and the dealer will fit them gratis (they only clip on). They look good, I saw a set on a Golf GTI that had been PDI'd for a customer and on checking the parts computer the Scirocco set have the same part no, hence are exactly the same.
Unfortunately no pictures, but they look the same as both the sets hyperlinked to on this thread. Probably slightly cheaper (but only just) from VW Speed however if sourced form the dealer prior to delivery they become covered by the full 3 year guarantee.

Have you got the part number for these? If we can get the part numbers for the pedals for both manual and DSG, it would be good to start to assemble a thread on the Mods forum with part numbers for common mod parts

Cool, part no would be very useful as my dealer was not able to commit to being able to do it. If I can forward on the required info hopefully that should go some way to getting it sorted quickly.
I got an £800 discount on the car after so agressive bargaining so I doubt I will them fitted for free (as I still expect my free carpet mats as well!) so will offer to pay for the parts (but not the labour!)
