Second Keys

Had an odd experience this evening with my second key which my girlfriend has just taken possession of. My key opens both doors but hers needs two presses of the open button to open the passenger door? Had a look in the manual and did not see anything relating to this. Have any of you experienced this? It there some setting I need to change somewhere for the second key?

my key needs two presses to open passenger door, must be something in the setup, but not sure.

Do both your keys need two presses or just the one? My key needs only one press?

You can set it up in the MFD to unlock one door or both doors with a single key press. Mine came set with one press for the driver's door and a 2nd press for the passenger door.
Quite why how your 2 fobs come to be working differently is strange. Maybe one needs syncing with the car. :?

Saw the settings in the MFD and that was fine. May go and ask the dealers. Will keep you all posted.

Yes that caught me out the day I picked up my car. The salesman had gone back inside having completed handover and the passenger door remained firmly locked! I eventually opened it from the inside and it was not until later that I realised you have to blip the fob twice to open the passenger door!

Try changing the option in the MFD with the second key in the ignition. Maybe it programs the key rather than the car itself? Would explain why the keys are functioning differently.
