Hey guys i think this is my first post so just saying a hello

A bit about myself. i am a self confessed honda nut and more specifically a ex honda integra type R owners. After 6 years i was time for a change and i wanted a something fast and more refined whilst still being a bit exciting to drive

I wanted a mk5 gold GTI edition 30 and was looking to spending about 18k but then the scirocco caught my eye and for a few extra k's i could get a new one

i have been trying to sell my honda for about 3 months but it was not the usual rubbish on the market. It was very well maintained and looked after so wanted money that reflected this. Car was sold today ! ! !

i am now in a position to buy the Roc

ive test drove one already and really liked it. ive got a spec i want in my mind. one thing i am not sure of is if its worth getting the leather. i really want the white roc with dark red leather combo ( linking back to the honda ) and i think the colour scheme works great

i am concerned about the quality of a retro fit. ( I am extremely anal and a perfectionist ) so the finish must be factory oem looking. bearing in miond that VW charge £1500 for leather would i be able to retro fit leather of good quality and finish for this price ???

Has anyone else done this and what are the costs involved. can someone recommend someone to do it

btw ive been a jap car owner and have no idea about the vw scene

anyone wanna give me a crash course in vw

thanks for the replies.

looking at niche work it does look very good indeed.

i have also been recommended to try mj interiors. anyone used them??

my main concern with the retrim is the plastics being damaged and the fit not being 100%

anyone had a retrim done with any issues ! ! !

ive found these

ive ordered my car now and ordered it with the factory leathers in black

seeing as the car is not even in production im in 2 minds if id be better off gettin merlin cloth and re-trimming the seats in a dark red.

need to opinions

car is candy white

now im a real fan of white cars with red seats, just like my honda or even a new white m3 with red seats. just can picture it in the roc

maybe i should just retrim the fronts integra style !!!

imo complete red seats might be abit much, not sure.
had you thought about something similar to the link i posted earlier for gaz @ niche's work but replace the white with red...? i'm sure he could advise possible prices etc if you PM him.

i think the general consensus is if you want to get a retrim later but go for the cloth initially make sure you have the heated seat option specced.

edit: maybe someone who is handy with photoshop,& has abit of spare time on their hands over the bank holiday, could photoshop a pic of a white roc with some red seats....?

right i think ive made up my mind

gonna get a factory retrim in red front and rear with doorcards done too ! ! !
in a red as close to bmw red dokota leather as possible

had a closer look at my dads m3 and i like the colour. before ordering the roc i toyed with the idea of getting a 330D coupe m sport and really liked the white one with red leathers,

not sure how much hassle it will be changing the spec with the dealer
