I did this on my 2013 which has white MFD. All straight forward but will require VCDS to configure it correctly so you get full functionality with Nav instructions on MFD and phone access via steering controls. Other than that it was straight forward.

Good Morning,

I'm new to the forum;

Sorry to jump onto your post, but I facing a similar situation, with my VW Scirocco GT TDI 2010. However I already have the RNS510 originally fitted. I'm looking at getting Bluetooth install and was looking at this kit. VW-SEAT-SKODA-BLUETOOTH-MODULE-INTERFACE-KIT-9w7-RNS510-RCD510 from ebay?

The vehicle already has the Phone button on the Radio and Speaker symbol on the steering wheel with active voice control. I can't access Hidden features to display SW Version. But I do have the CD's which are V6.1

Can someone advise me, on how I should proceed? I do have VCDS but I'll need to update it before I can use it on my vehicle.

Any help is much appreciated.

Wayne.

It should be straight forward. Make sure you fit the microphone that should come with the Bluetooth module harness.

It may need to be enabled via VCDS for the can gateway to recognise it. Plug it in and go from there.

Thanks for that. One more question can I just use my Original Microphone (De-pin) etc?

Cheers

So long as it’s connected to the correct pins yes.
