When engine is running the battery and fuel light dimmly, when I click the seatbelt it is gone.
When engine is not running and I index at right then the water temp and cruise control sign flashing.

Have you tried using a diagnostic obd code reader to see if you can reset these faults or at least diagnose any problems?

My guess is a bad earth within or around the cluster.

Just thinking that myself cuprabob. Just thinking back i had a fault with my interior roof light causing all interior lights to dimmer and flicker. That was down to an earth wire that had come loose. Took a mobile electrical technician to find it though.
