Read shock absorber / Adaptive suspension

Postby 5murf » Wed Aug 28, 2019 12:49 pm

Hi, one of my girlfriends rear shock absorbers is leaking and needs to be replaced. I'm looking for a replacement now and i dont see any mention of the adaptive suspension that her car has when looking for the part. For example this one: https://www.autodoc.co.uk/monroe/9655418
Would they work?

I dont suppose anyone knows the OEM part number for what she needs? I dont plan on buying OEM as they are way too expensive but it could help me find the right replacement

Her car is a 59 plate 2.0 TDI DSG with the sports suspension button

You can check the OEM part numbers on this site.
http://www.oemepc.com/

I don't know if its still the case, but it used to be that the adapttve shocks were only available from TPS /dealer.

The shock you have linked is for a car without Dynamic Chassis Control (DCC).

Shocks should be replaced as pairs and if you decide to fit non adaptive shocks you will get a Dynamic Chassis Control (DCC) error and the lamp on the button will flash continuously. It may be possible to code out using VCDS.
