EGR valve leaking coolant into exhaust

I have an issue with my egr valve. its being diagnosed as this at a specialist getting fixed soon. What i was wondering was could i be cause any other issues while driving the car if coolant is horsing into my exhaust.
i noticed a couple of times when i am barely toughing the accelerator pedal there seems to be a slight juddering stuttering in power delivery. the rpm's etc are not moving at all just steady away but seems odd, was wondering if i have a different issue or if it might be related to the egr.
