Scirocco Central

Hello everyone

I have a 2009 2.0 GT TDI scirocco and every so often when starting the car it’s almost as if it cuts out/stalls during the ignition process. The car does not actually start, it tries to, then cuts/stalls instantly. It doesn’t happen all the time, but it’s annoying when it does. Has anyone else had this issue? And does anyone have any idea what would be causing this?

Try starting the car with jump leads attached to a friend's car, or if possible switch out the battery and see what happens.

Could be a dying battery, when I replaced mine I opted for one with almost double the starting power and now it turns over quicker than ever.
