Wire from number plate lights to headunit....

Basically I am looking at getting a reversing camera that replaces one of the number plate lights (with a combined camera and light unit)
I need to run a wire from the camera to the back of my headunit.
Anyone done this or anything similar? I have had a quick look and it seems easy enough to remove the plastic trim on the inside boot lip but wasn't sure if there was direct access to the number plate wiring or not.
Thanks, Lewis

You can use a camera from Zenec like ZE-RCE2002PL for light bulb you can use a T10 COB 12SMD 2835 32mm.
Yes you can run a wire from the inside boot to the license plate or air vents or follow the original license plate wiring.
But maybe the first option is a little difficult to run the wire through without taking the bumper off.
And i don't know if this works on a original head unit. I have a Kenwood headunit.

Why do you need a run a wire? does your headunit not have a reverse wire output?
i installed one last weekend, the only cable i ran from front to back was the yellow audio cable.

On my car the camera is connected with an rca connector to the head unit Kenwood.
The camera needs seperate 12V, ground and a trigger wire.
For this u can use reverse signal or a button just what you want.
