Scirocco R (2009) vs Scirocco R (2015 facelift) Same turbos?

I've just collected a Facelift and was wondering exactly what has changed from the previous model in terms of Engine and tech. Ive heard that the facelift engine still has the same EA113 block but not only had a different map, but also nabbed the turbo from the newer EA888 in the MK7 R? any experts in this field? Just asking as possibly looking to go for a stage 1 in the future, and would be good to know what kind of boost it will handle safely
