Scirocco Central

Does anyone know what the perforated section in the middle of the screen is for ,above the interior mirror
is it just for shade or is there wires or sensors in it

thanks

i know i cant spell ,

It's for shade and the square below it is the rain sensor for the auto wipers.

Thanks

It’s also where there’s a ‘window’ in one of the windscreen laminate layers to let mobile phone / satnav signals through.
