RCD 510 Disapointment

Last night I had a play with the RCD menus and found a function called Audio Feedback On / Off. Neat I thought, maybe this feeds audio back into the head so it can work out the equalisation and compensate for interior noise and the effect of fatty passsengers soaking up the treble. Even better maybe it inserts engine noise, out of phase into the cabin to quieten everything down.

Then I discovered that it makes the unit make a little beep when you press a button. Now that's some fancy name for a function that goes beep.

Some of the Bose setups monitor the cabin noise and adjust the sound quality to suit, i have a TTR that did this. The RCD does have the GALA function which increases the stereo volume as the vehicle speed increases to compensate for the increasing wind, engine and tyre noise.

I know what you mean about "Audio Feedback" reminds me of a fella who calls himself a "vision technician" we prefer to call him the window cleaner.

I was wondering what that function was all about. Now that you've told me it does seem like an anti-climax.
Funnily enough I was sat in my Roc last night messing with the radio and trying out that function. I almost convinced myself that there was an audible difference between the On and Off settings.
