Scirocco Central

I have always wondered what this cable/plug is behind my passenger side front lower bumper grille is? Anyone know? **EDITED** - I assume this is the outside temp sensor, BUT, does it look normal or should the cable that sits above the sensor be more securely plugged in???

Yes outside temp sensor.
Connector is fine, you are looking to the cable protection sleeve.
Nothing to worry about.
