I'm looking to buy one just incase, any ideas which one I should pick up?

A friend of me told me that it might not be the best idea to try to recover a (my) stolen vehicle and better to get the insurance do that? What's your guys takes on that

They might use gps jammers but its better then nothing.

Just my opinion, but unless you're getting a significant saving on your insurance they're not worth it. Firstly, it's quite difficult to steal a Scirocco without the keys unless you are a professional car thief and a professional car thief isn't really interested in a Scirocco as there are much better returns for the risk.

In addition the subscription fees can be quite high and if my car is stolen, I don't want it back. My preference would be they write it off hurting themselves in the process.
