Connecting to Car-Net with the EE Buzzard 2

Hi all
Is anyone using the Buzzard 2 to connect to Car-net. For some reason I keep getting the 'no data connection' when I connect to it. I've tested it by connecting my mobile to it and there is definitely a data connection. If I disconnect the buzzard and connect to my iPhone (also EE) it works.
I went for the buzzard to save having to open up the mobile hotspot on the car everytine I got in it. Seemed easier to just turn the buzzard on and connect that way.
I've got a 2017 Scorocco R-Line if that makes any difference.
Just keen to see if it's working for anyone else.
