Newbie's Candy White GT TDI 170

Post by BASSCUBE »

Just bought a 2011 Scirocco GT TDI 170.

Absolutely love it, has leather, xenons, reverse sensors, DAB etc.

Have changed interior bulbs to LED and also number plate.

Will be changing DRL bulb to LED and the oem D1S xenons to Osram Cool Blue Intense bulbs which i have had in a previous car and transformed the light.

Cheers buddy.

Got loads of ideas.

Lowering springs (or coilovers) but ideally springs as want to keep soft and comfort mode etc.

Colour code black side strips

Celtic tuning remap.

possible new alloys and/or paint alloys anthracite.

Put my private plate on BA55 CBE (BASS CUBE)

1 thing i wanted to mention is the boot lid and bumper look like they haven't been fitted properly. There is a massive gap where i can almost see into the boot. This only seems particularly bad on the left side where it sticks out. I have never seen such an obvious panel gap in my life. Can almost stick my head in it lol.

Not sure if this can be adjusted? as the other day when was raining i noticed a wet patch in my boot which is concerning.

Yes the car was a previous cat d which may mean it was repaired badly. Or even just the bumper and boot lid not fitted correctly.

Ideally i need to get it to a bodyshop to see if they can sort it out cheaply.

Wow, yes that is a terrible repair. I hope that's the only bodge when they repaired it.

I would get it thoroughly inspected.

What do you think they have done?

Everything else seems pretty good. The bonnet and wing arn't quite flush but apparently this is sometimes an issue.
