Metal banging

Hey whenever I hit a bump on the road or speed bump there's like a metal rattleing sound coming from the front driver side wheel or somewhere round there
Also whenever I'm going let's say 60 and I hit the break to slow down and the road is bumpy my car would like fully bonce up on and down on that side and make loads banging
Anyone any ideas?

Broken spring and / or top mount bearing collapsed.

If I jacked car up would I see if the spring broke?
Probably is the top mount I'm having a guess
Any other things it could be?

Often, the pigtail breaks off the end of the spring so it can be hard to see if it's broke.
Could also be a dropping I suppose but my money is on it being a spring and top mount bearing.

Taking to garage on weekend because I don't have the tool to take spring off and it's also dangerous as fuck!
