Scirocco Central

Hi all,

I have a scirocco 2.0 GT TDI 140 2010 approx 48k miles & got a few Q's if anyone can help.

1) What size brake discs & pads do i need for front & back?

2) Issue - car doesnt start sometimes, start of day get in & turns over fine, I get out at the shop & in there for approx 1 min or so then get back into car & turn the key, car acts like it will turn over but cuts out, all lights on dash are normal, try a few times & eventually turns over, happens quite a lot when im in & out for car & it doesnt have time to sit for 5 mins. Had battery checked & thats fine. Any ideas?

3) Recently, car is fine driving along smooth roads no noises, drives along bumpy road & all of a sudden there is a clunking noise coming from the rear, not the spare wheel as checked, looked underneath nothing hanging off, eventually the noise goes away. Any ideas?

I had issue #3 a couple of months ago. Couldn’t figure it out at first, but then I checked the spare wheel compartment.
It wasn’t the spare wheel itself but the tools in the middle of it, that sit in styrofoam. Turns out, it was the small jack that was making the “clunking” noise when riding over harder terrain or bumps. Since it wasn’t secured properly. After securing it better the noise disappeared. Hope this might help...

Thanks for the feedback mate, was indeed the small jack banging around making the noise, secured it and it's non clunky again, cheers. Still not sure on issue 2 though.
