Seats...!

Morning,

I've had my Scirocco for 3 months now and absolutely love it. However, the seats leave a little to be desired in their standard form... I plan to change the standard cloth front seats for something a little more comfortable and possibly sporty...!

I'm considering a retro fit of some recaros (or similar) but what options do i have? If i go the standard route of purchasing VW Recaro buckets then its going to cost me a small mortgage so i'm looking for suggestions of what else i can do/what others have done?

The other issue i have with changing the front seats is airbags... if i go the route of non-VAG seats then what can i do about the airbags in the seats? Am i able to wire an alternative seat into the system? Or can i code out the airbags from the seats (not my first option, or what i want..).

Thanks,
Brad

somethinglike these would be good http://www.sciroccocentral.co.uk/forum/ ... ro#p180714" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;.
the airbags you only need if someone crash into you. Not very likely is it?

Seats fit same as Mk5 , Recaro, Corbeau, sparco etc all make runners to fit.
You will need to fit 2.1 ohm resistors in the car side of the airbag plug to prevent Airbag lights.
While RS4/Recaro OEM buckets are expensive they hold their money so if you can stretch to £1750 or so you can use them and then sell them in a few years when you sell the car for the same.

Thanks for the replies!
With regards to the resistors - is this to simulate that the car has airbags when they're not present?
