RCD510 cd error

I set off for work this morning and turned the stereo on to listen to a cd and all I see is the message 'please wait' displayed. I've tried a reset using the power button to no avail. When you select eject it shows all the racks as empty (5 cd's are inside). The radio and sd card slot still work. Anyone any ideas.
I've gone through the fuse thread to see if pulling the fuse will work but the diagram for my fuse box is no longer available (58 plate). If I can't locate the fuse I'll disconnect the battery. And my mechanic will do vcds scan for me later in the week.
Anyone come across this before or anything else I can do before I get someone to look at it?
Cheers.

So I've had a chance to look at it today. Located the fuse and tried that option to no avail, also scanned with vcds and no errors found - other than the message 'cd player is not ok', very helpful as I already knew this. So I removed the head unit and tried unplugging and reconnecting, again no change.
We then began stripping it down to remove the cds and after a lot of screws and various parts we realised this was a proper major job that would be unlikely to go back together. So with this we gave in and reassembled the unit and put it back in the car. As soon as it was plugged in the CD player fired up and began aligning itself as normal. It now appears to be fine but for how long is anybody's guess.
So a result of sorts for the time being :-)
