Help Please

i need some advice
i Bought a 61 plate Scirocco GT 2.0TDI 140 on the 28th May 2016, every thing was fine, to start with apart from this really annoying rattle in the roof (behind driver) and a rattle at the front pasanger side, (i was thinking its something in the door possibly) and then the media console keeps freezing while im driving,
(sometimes it & MFD freeze)
(sometimes MFD still works to use phone and volume change song etc but screen on dash board doesnt respond)
(sometimes you can use the power button to reset it by turning off and on again)
(sometimes i have to pull over and completely turn the car off to reset it)
(sometimes you can turn the volume with the dial but not the steering wheel)
it doesnt happen every day and its at completely random times, sometimes it does it whil i drive 1 mile to tesco and then other times i can do a 2 hours drive to my home town and its fine, but then might do it on my return home,
i rang the garage on the 26th july 2016 and they couldnt get it in till 4th august 2016, which was fine,
i took my car in yesterday and they said they would do the software update at the same time, which i told was fine to do, but i wont be happy if it affects the performance, as the letter sates it wont! i will let you all know on that one.
after it was in all day they said that the think the rattling could actually be a shock absorber at the front and they are replacing it under warranty, but if there is still a rattle after that and they think it is what they call cosmetic, ie something in the door rattling, or a loose screw/bolt i will have £72 + VAT per hour for them to sort it.
and that the media console had be been fine and not froze once, and could the mechanic take it home so he could play about with it, so i said yeah not a problem, i told them to tell him to connect his phone also, the woman on the phone said he will try it, and that the problem with the MC could be that im using an iphone 6+ and there too powerfull for the software on the MC has anyone herd of this before??? or am i been fobbed on both issues???
