Remote sunroof/windows?

Hi
I am wondering whether my new Scirocco is going to have remote sunroof/windows. I have ordered pretty much every option, but not the alarm. Does anyone know if the remote feature is standard or comes along with the alarm/"alarm plus"? (as it does with my current BMW)

well.. it's not always standard... Yesterday, I've met someone who doesn't have it... I checked it with VagCom, enabled the settings manually, but without any luck...

Maybe it's standard on the GT.
You just hold down unlock to drop the windows and lock to up them up.

Perfect. Another reason for trading my BMW 120i for a Scirocco...

Getting the alarm as standard depends on which country you're getting it from. It's standard on the UK ones, but my dad got a MK5 Golf GT as an import. It came from Malta and so VW decided that foglights and alarm are not needed.
The UK Sciroccos have their door handles with no keyhole (there is an emergency one hidden under a cover on the drivers side), so they all have central locking with an alarm. If you have central locking, even without an alarm, you should be able to hold the open button on the key fob to open all the windows and hold the close to close all the windows (probably will kill the remote battery doing this all the time). Not sure if the sunroof opens and closes with the windows though.

Retboell - what is the main reason for trading? Looks? Never liked the 1 series, looks hideous to me, as do most BMWs at the moment.

I actually like the looks of the 1-series, at least if it has the right spect. Mine looks almost the same as the promo-version (
http://www.bmw.com/com/en/newvehicles/1 ... paper.html) - but I know that especially the rear is causing some discussions.
Although build quality seems good in the BMW, I have had some issues - some ratteling sounds, broken lock at the steering wheel (is it called that?) and quite a few problems with the engine. Uneven power development causing it to diplay engine failiure. All is fixed, but not perfectly. This is too much from a brand new car.
So - the main reason is just to try something new, and the Scirocco suits me perfectly. My only concern is the front wheel drive - I have gotten used to the RWD, which is great fun in the rain and snow.

There is no more fun to be had in a rear wheel drive vehicle than a petrol Transit van - my old works one used to slide around a roundabout everytime in the wet. Absolutely no grip on the rear at all if you kick it down a gear and floor it, the back end slides like it is on rails - it was like playing Ridge-Racer, only slower.
I really don't like the back end of a 1 series, it is an improvement with the coupe version, but also the sills are too chunky on the 1 series in all variants (the coupe could actually look nice if it weren't for the chunky sills)- but the rear wheel drive could be a reason to buy one.

I tried the 135i coupe at the dealer. This car is insanely fun to drive - I would love it even if it was pink with flowers painted on it. But too expensive and too dangerous for my license...

Hey I have the German spec "Sport" 1.4 TSI. It didn't come with a factory alarm and I installed a canbus compatible one, which works great, and I have the remote windows feature. I got it installed at the dealer before picking up the car so not sure if it's there by default...

I second that.
In Israel we usually have locally made alarm systems with GPS location transitions to a security center that can dispatch units to the car in case of a break-in.
So the dealer is not installing the original VW alarms.
Nevertheless I still have this nice feature which can be a life saver in a sunny middle-eastern country like Israel.
I assume it's a default feature regardless of the alarm system.
