Scirocco Central

I have just bought a 61 plate Scirocco. It has the external VW bluetooth little screen which I can operate my phone with (I can skip songs and pause as well as call people).

When I call people, it comes out of my soundsystem in the car.

When I play the music, it's silent. The volume on the bluetooth is set to maximum. On my phone I have selected output as the VW bluetooth kit.

What am I not doing right?

You might not have the "Music" kit. Some can play music via Bluetooth and other kits can't.

How do I find out? It's odd that it has a 'music' option and it can change my songs on my phone and pause the music etc. I don't get why it wouldn't let it play out loud when it does all of that.

To be honest, I don't really know. I know there are 2 types of Bury kit (which the VW is based on - rebadged), one music and one non music. But I never bothered trying to stream music on mine when I had one fitted in the van.
