cheers mate, yes I found that thread.
I found that thread I should have been slightly more clearer.
Was wondering about Hybrid conversions on CDL based engines.
i'll make a bit more use of the search function.

Yes stage 3 is basically upgrading the turbo. I guess it depends on what power you want to achieve.
is your car mapped yet? A stage 2 rocco R is a very quick car.
As for hybrid turbos, you can look up beach buggy turbos or you can go the TTE420 route

BBT Turbo is a load of rubbish, not reliable at all.
my mate has gone through 3 BBT hybrids on a mk5 gti so I have no faith in the product.
I know all about the turbo upgrades ect, I'm just curious as to how many people on here have hybrid Turbo Roccos (Rocco R) as
from having a nose around doesn't seem to be too much cars pushing 400+ ponies on here.

Really... BBT As in beach buggy turbos?
Never heard a bad thing about them.
Nobody on here runs big power, think stage 2 is the most that people run on here, GT/R models.
You can be the first

Search for 'Owens Hybrid Turbo's' i think it is. Someone on the Facebook group has one on his 2.0 tsi although he is trying to sell his car, very quick dsg stage 3 with a rolling road printout stating 380bhp!
I think stage 2 R is about the same as stage 3 tsi i could be wrong (same turbo atleast).
For a manual car it will be more expensive to convert than a dsg as the clutch will have to be upgraded like i did to mine.
One guy on here (GazzaGood i think) bought everything including internal parts for a big turbo upgrade but he had trouble finding a custom mapper to map his car after it was built up so he sold parts and is moving on.
It would be amazing to see but also very hard to complete i would imagine
