DRL's now off thanks to fellow member.

A big thank you to jc74 who earlier this evening drove out from central London to the burbs to meet up with MarkoRocco and myself to switch off our DRL's with his VAGCOM software.
He asked only a nominal fee and when we offered him a bit more for his trouble he wouldn't take it so thanks John, that was kind of you.
IMO it's great to the DRL's off and the auto light function working as it should do.
In addition I had a couple of other things altered by jc.
The car now gives a one brief chirp when I lock it with the fob and two chirps when it's unlocked.
I also had the seat belt warning ping turned off (which also turns off the warning light on the dash by the way).
Before anyone starts I always wear my seat belt and so do my front passengers.
It's just that when I pick up my girlfriend it's those first 30 yards or so when I pull away between her getting settled and then putting her seatbelt on that the pinging really annoyed me (and no I don't pull away like Jensen Button) so it had to go.
The whole process only took about half an hour to alter both cars and test them.
jc knew his stuff and whizzed through the set-up on a really cool looking little note pad laptop.
I was amazed that so much can be changed with the VAGCOM.
Just those three things will keep me happy though.
I'd already gone half way to the meet when I realized I should have brought my camera with me.
It was great to see 3 Rocs in one place (a first for me).
jc74 and my Pewter TSi GT's and MarkoRokko's gorgeous Candy White/Truffle TSi GT, the first White I've seen.
All 3 were "between washes" but not filthy. It would have made a good pic.
It was nice to meet you too Mark and your son if you're reading this.
I hope you got back to Norwich safely.
Yes you read that right peeps...NORWICH to London for a DRL switch off.
That's dedication to the cause.
Still any excuse is a good excuse for a road trip in a Roc
