Replacing serpentine belt Scirocco 2.0TSI EA888 CAW0 YM2009

I noticed the serpentine belt was visibly worn and I needed to replace it. The belt routing looks simple enough - with a main pulley driving only the alternator and AC compressor, plus a belt tensioner. I was pondering whether I could avoid the workshop to save time and some money. The instructions posted here (http://www.golfmk6.com/forums/showthread.php?t=98688) gave me the assurance that it should be a simple and straightforward job. I went ahead and bought the replacement belt and DIY.

My tensioner roller is still good. Replacing the belt was a cinch. The wheel wrench that comes with the car happens to be 17mm; and it is perfect for working the belt tensioner when dismounting the worn belt and mounting the new belt.
