In case you don't know what that is it's a little pinger on the MFD that tells you when you're over a certain speed.
I've got mine set on 30mph as the car is so quiet and refined compared to my old one that I have a hard time realising low speeds, especially with the DSG. In my old car I knew half revs in 3rd was a comfortable level for 30mph. The DSG doesn't give you that sense of gear/revs/speed.
Do you use it?

mine is set to 85. It can get quite annoying though, when keeping up with traffic on a "private" dual carriageway or motorway.

Coincidently I just set it last week after months of driving without it - I was travelling back home from up north pretty late last week and let’s just say I would have got banned.
So mine is now set at 90mph gone off twice already this week and helped me to promptly slow down.
Jumping from a 1.6 to a 2.0 Turbo was not a good idea

Have mine set to 95 to avoid licence loss... Surprising how often (in theory) it can get hit with a brisk overtake

I set mine to 85mph - unless you're the only one doing that speed on a stretch of motorway, you're unlikely to get pulled by the bobbies. Any more than 85mph and you will probably get a ticket rather than a telling off if stopped.
The golden rule though is never be the fastest car on the road when speeding, the bobbies will go after the car going the fastest.
