Hi, my passenger window jammed open the other day and after taking the door card off and window motor I found the cable/wire on the window regulator was knackard. It was stranded all over the place and jammed where the window motor spline attaches to the regulator.

I was wondering what you thought the best way to fix this was and where to get the parts. Is it best just to get a new cable or will it be easier to get a complete regulator? Or is there a better option? Any help will be greatly appreciated! Thanks Dean

Same happened to mine yesterday, for whatever reason it jammed about 4 inches down when a friend opened it. Took a while to get back up, because it was jammed the motor would trip into a safety state - causing it not to function for so long. To get it up I had to manually push the door latch, wait until it reset (I used VCDS and kept clearing the DTC) and then force it up whilst someone pressed the window up button. Bought a second hand one from motorhog for £70, cheaper ones on eBay but postage at this time would be horrendous and they aren't any close. Going to fit it tomorrow hopefully
