Machine polisher / product help ?

Evening all,
So I treated myself a little while ago to a machine polisher + some other bits ,
I wanted to try and perfect my paintwork abut more , I have done various parts of the car and had some good results and some not so good pending on the severity of the marks , as I'm new to this I was starting to doubt myself slightly ,
I have done a fair bit of research and watched a 4 part video on YouTube on advise on using a da,
So I belive I had some knowledge ,
The main area is the bonnet which I have shifted a fair bit but not everything,
A mate came over today with a fiesta ST and the paint on the bonnet was hideous , so I thought I'd have ago,
So I did the full works ,
Washed it
Clayed it
Used meguiars 105
Then 205
Then hand polished with auto finesse triple
Then waxed with auto finesse temptation ,
I and he were shocked it was perfect not one mark just like it was new ,
Now I understand vag paint is hard which comes into play , however today has proven to me I'm doing it right,
So my question is ( after all that )
What have you guys found that shifted it and has worked on your rocs ?
As mentioned I'm using 105 and 205 atm and am considering there detailed micro range ?
Any suggestions greatly appreciated

As iv posted above mate , I'm after something that's actually going to shift swirls and scratches from my roc,
Meguaiars 105 has taken some off but nothing spectacular, iv read a few things on DW regarding menzerna products,
Do you or have you used it on your roc ?

Same here, with Menzerna FG400 (heavy cut) and with Buff n Shine Orange Cutting Pad i have again swirls . I think Scirocco's paint need a MF Cutting pad

Ok. I'm a detailer so use the full range ... I actually detailed my own Scirocco yesterday.
The paintwork is very hard on these cars ... Landed up using Menz power gloss on compound pad with rotary at 2000rpm and then Menz P2400 with polishing pad at 1600rpm with longer working time to finish down properly.

Why did you hand polish with Tripple?
I very much doubt it was "perfect" either, you need so much lighting to be sure. I've spent 30 hours polishing one car and trust me even then it wasn't perfect :-)
I have a guide I wrote up on another forum
It doesn't cover rotary polishing, only DA, but has loads of info.
Products are only one very very small part of the picture. Give a professional halfords own range and give a complete tool the "best" big brand polishes out there guess which car would look better... :-)
Scirocco paint is very hard.
Needing hard pads for cutting and appropriate compounds and then refinement.
I have done plenty of MK6 Era cars and a couple of Sciroccos, and a Mk6 R in Rising Blue also.

The saying goes - Use what you like, and use it often.

Mr OCD thanks for the input,
I'm still new to this and just want to learn what I can to try and do the best job.
With menzerna from what I've read there FG400 is there most aggressive cutting compound ?
And then SF4000 (85RE) as a finishing polish ??

Xjay , it may have not been perfect but in comparison it was a lot better, that was only my point ,
I used triple by hand because that's how iv seen it advertised ?? And told.
I'm using a DA and just after as much info as possible to do the best I can

@ash.mtl Yes i use FG400 with Orange Buff n Shine Cutting Pad(not heavy cutting) and i still have some RDS and swirls .
As said @xjay for 100% perfect paint you need a loooooooot of time. No my rocco is not full of swirl, is much much better than it was before , i can say 70-80% correction was achieved . But i am new with DA polish machine(2nd time) , my first time was at a friends Opel Corsa D ,the Corsa paint with Orange pad and PF2500 Polishing pad was corrected 90-95% .
The Scirocco Paint is very hard , i think it needs MF Cutting pad i am right xjay1337?
With my combo with LED Lights i can see swirls but you need a lot of attention to see them, before the polishing combo, with whatever lighting you was able to see swirls and not a shiny color like now .

Thanks winner , as everyone's mentioned it obviously takes time and under different light it may show another mark, I'd be happy with 90-95% correction it's just about getting the bulk of it gone , think I may look at menzerna and send a it more time with each panel ,
Can I ask what rpm would you guys use , can it change pending result and product ?
Cheers

Tripple is just a glaze. You can use it by DA or rotary if you want.
use a softer pad, and a lower speed (around 3-4 on a da).

It's on the harder end of the scale for sure.
you can try MF pads if you want.. plenty of options out there..

No swirls, No scratches ... Just a couple of RDS that not happy to chase out as bit deep...
Megs compound pad, menz power gloss and 2000rpm on rotary.
Megs polish pad, menz p2200 and 1500rpm on rotary worked well.
