Looking for some clutch advice from people with remaps!

So I just got my Scirocco yesterday

looking into getting a remap but i'm just really concerned about the clutch problem that can occur.
Its a 2.0 TSI (2010) with 50k on the clock. I'm getting a Celtic Tuning remap (207 > 262 bhp) and then torque is (207 > 310lb/ft). I really don't want to pay for a remap and then not have the money at my disposal, in case the clutch does actually start slipping.
So my question is what experience have people had with remaps and using the standard clutch?

Mine is a diesel 170 standard and now is about 205. About 8k later, clutch is still fine, touchwood. 56000 in total.

I'm also wondering the same. Going to get my 2.0 TSI (200PS) remapped with Revo. I'm sure I've heard that the clutch is fine with most stage 1 maps, but if I'm going to have to replace the clutch I may as well go for stage 2.

Like Adam90 I have the same 2.0 TSI engine and plan to get the same Revo stage 1. I'm also interested on peoples views about the clutch, my clutch being relatively new (only 2500 miles) and any other engine components that could suffer.
I read rumors that your divertor valve can fail quicker and its better to upgrade it to a better aftermarket one.

I am planning on getting a stage 2 remap soon probably Revo but I am standard at the minute (2.0 tsi). I have already fitted an uprated clutch for this power increase.
I fitted a Sachs Performance clutch plate and clutch cover (direct from Sachs), a new DMF also Sachs (Euro Car Parts) and a new VW clutch release bearing (also known as a central slave cylinder) from local VW.
I have also fitted a Forge diverter/recirculation valve which performs and sounds sweet too
I would like to fit a new intercooler before a remap also, Airtech stage 2 or Revo if possible, to help maximise gains and performance.

How much did all the clutch related items cost in total?

The Sachs performance clutch plate and clutch cover direct from Sachs Racing Engineering in Germany cost me €653 which is about £480 I think. The Sachs DMF cost me £290 from Euro Car Parts.

So does anybody have any experience using the standard clutch? I think this is what the OP wants to know.

Yeah, would be very helpful! I'm hoping I can get a lot of use out of it

OEM clutch works well with a stage 1 tune. But if you thinking about going stage 2+,a clutch replacement is recommended!
After been driving 11000km with stage 2 my clutch gave up.
Regarding the divereter vavle, go for the lastest version OEM.
And Kirky, why go with a DMF and not a SMF?
A DMF doesn't hold the power like a SMD does if your going stage 2+.

Stg1 map is fine as long as you don't do crazy launches
Stg2 upwards it just dies, i have a Sachs Loba single mass set up in mine & it just soaks up the abuse the APR stg2+ set up delivers.

How many miles did you have the stage 1 for?

Stage 2+ gave me around 300whp and 400wnm. Just a little lower with Stage 2.

I've a stage 1 remap (250bhp) with an original clutch. The car has a little over 70k miles and have had the remap for around 10k of that. Clutch is still going well but I guess it depends how you drive... if you're doing track days or drag racing ever Civic you come across, then it might not last as long!

I have heard some stories of gearbox issues and bad gear sync and such when running a SMF so thought it best to get a new DMF
