Thought I'd get up a thread since I collected my car last week.
Only a 2.0tdi 140 so nothing special, but does me perfect for a daily. Also have a mk3 golf vr6 as a project car.
Got the car from a place in Nottingham which is 440 miles from me in Aberdeen, so 8.5 hours after leaving last Friday I had her home.
Few pics

First plans Are;
H&R springs - already bought
Cruise control retrofit
Bluetooth retrofit
And maybe some other wheels!
Also like the idea of the white MFD I've seen another member do. Once I figure out how to send PM's I'll be on it
Won't be much of a build thread as it's my daily but hopefully I'll make some progress over the next few months:)
Cheers

Thanks mate. Id love to go full 'r' bodykit but as it's diesel it's a bit of a waste. Guess I'll just have to save up for a real one!

So got the springs fitted today. Noticeable difference, does increase the firmness if the ride but nothing too mental!
Before and after pic..
Haven't had a chance to take it for a decent drive as it's been pouring down all weekend up here!
Also changed the bulbs to nightbreakers. Unfortunately one bulb shattered as I was removing it so it's left some bits inside the headlight. Guess I'll need to split it and clean it!
Also cleaned up the engine bay a little..

Also spoke to a local revo dealer about a remap, thoughts??

What you need is a bit of hose, some tape and a hoover to clean that headlight out. I've used this in the past for spiders. Much easier then splitting the unit.
Cars looking good too!

Great idea. Cheers for that. Saved me alot of hassle!!
Opinions on wheels.. Wither these (19") or some black talladega reps in 18"?

If you end up going with Tally's make sure you double check the offset, as far as I'm aware there are 2 different offsets (one for the golf the other for the Rocco). If you end up with the wrong one it could make the wheels look a little odd.
Personally I would go with 19's.

Cheers for that, I'll keep a look out.
I think the 19's have an offset of 45 and are 8.5" wide. Am I right in thinking these would sit around 6/7mm further out than the standard interlagos that are 8" wide and et of 38?
Can also get the same wheels but in 18" with an offset of 42. Just need to decide which will look/sit better..
