Cruise Control Retrofit

Hi!

I'm looking to retrofit cruise control to my 2009 59 plate Scirocco 2.0 TDi (170).

I've done some research and it all looks relatively straight forward. I have vagcom already, my only question is that some people say you need to buy a module too as well as the stalk, dependant on your model..?

I've found the below - Parts wise, is this all I will need to retrofit?

http://vag-shop.co.uk/cruise-control-ki ... /2010.html" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Thanks!
Tom

There is a thread dealing with the cut off periods for cruise control retrofit methods (I know this is prob not what you wanna hear).

The change occurred when the design of the climatic controls changed. So compare your climate controls to that on a 2010 car.
Also, you can look up the part number for your indicator stalk - the ones that need the complex change of the slip ring module etc is a combi stalk (indicator + wiper). The 2009 and below has two separate ones

Many thanks dude. Looks like mine is going to be the complicated way (typical!) as I have climate control :(

UKLee has done a thread regarding retrofitting; check it out.. I must say, it's daunting at first, but quite straightforward in practice (as long as you have the right tools)
