Question before buying...

Afternoon all...

End of last year I bought a 1.4 and had big issues with the car, which ended in me giving it back to the dealer - thanks again for those that helped on here!

I am taking the plunge again and found a 2.0 TSI GT close to home which I went to see today; link here:

http://www.autotrader.co.uk/classified/ ... ?logcode=p

It says within the tech specs it is 207bhp... however looking at the dash setup it looks to be just the 2.0 (200) - Can some one confirm?? I will take a look at the engine build when I test drive tonight (think the 210 is noted as CCZ on the build sticker?)

The rear parking sensors are aftermarket, as you can tell! they are going to colour code if bought.

The paintwork is immaculate and has full history.

With the mileage being at 69k what specific things should I check have been undertaken?

Also, at 69k miles I was thinking the 10k price tag was a bit on the high side - is 10k reasonable or should I be pushing for something less?

Due to my past experience I am much more cautious so any help/experience would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks
Andrew

Done a search as it is a 200 but you can tell by the climate control. 200 is still good btw hardly noticeable.

Its about on the right lines for a dealer but you could probably find a little cheaper

Even so great choice on the 2.0 over the 1.4 :)

Thanks Phil.

Test drove tonight - lovely car.

One or two niggles they need to sort (tyres etc).

Just trying to negotiate at the moment haha ;)

It has had the clutch done at 50k but nothing was noted for the timing chain... is this to be changed at 80k or after 100k??

CHeers

Timing chain has no recommended change interval.as it's supposed to last the lifetime of the engine.

It costs well into 4 figures to change, so it's only done if it stretches and rattles. Tensioners have been known to be an issue, so that might be worth changing for peace of mind.
