Chain Rattle

Hi guys my car has developed the famous chain rattle when cold matches what I have seen on YouTube, which I believe to be linked to the chain tensioner?
Car has done 55k
I have 12 months warrenty 11 left bought 3 weeks ago,
Its going in Monday for replacement parking sensor as it fell out
Should I tell them about the problem or just wait it out?
If the tensioner does go will I be covered fully within warrenty for a new engine?
